Inside Out
"Much of what we think we know, has depths never ventured to
because we mistake the surface for the bottom."
— Marie Foster
Where it began
Some have asked about the heart behind my work, so I've opened up this section to share a more sincere look behind the lens. Many moons ago, I was afraid to show that part of my life that I had hidden because I saw it as imperfection, a passion that didn't seem to fit in this world. A passion, curiosity and imagination to see things differently, in a world in which we see the big picture and we think we know how it is.
When I find that particular moment in a crystal, I narrow my focus to that point and stay on that path where my heart is on fire, loving what I do. It's like getting in touch with the part of myself where I unbecome everything, where I'm not bound by time, space or reason. A place that is evolving, changing all the time and going with the flow of it.
Sometimes, words surface as a sudden memory or a reflection of a situation. Often I don't know why, I don't think it should be anything, just an expression of what I love to do, nothing new, just new to me. These images are a product of living, of having a life not a replacement for one. At the end of it all there is something beautiful that came from something real, something of the Earth, of Nature, of a Crystal.
The gifts that shaped me

My angelic support comes from my grandmother Marie Fraser, who gave me the gift of art as a daily discipline and my alternative mother Betty-Ann who gave me a sense of wonder and the gift of Crystals, recognizing my crystal essence at the age of four.
"It's the intangible but present part of us from which human dignity derives. It's what I found when I lost everything I thought I should be and stopped trying to find something new."
— Marie Foster
It's about enjoying the process of bringing these ways into the world and honouring soul remembrance and releasing what was. Personally, dealing with real and perceived limitations and crises, where trauma and harm eventually turns into the safe harbour, in the presence of those who will honour both our vulnerability and our resilience, something true and to be valued.
To share witness to that which looks timeless but is ancient, occasionally sharing the stories without being outcome orientated because that is not what it's about. Respecting the way life wants to move through me and expressing those gifts with the humility of the here and now, that is ground level for me. My work with Crystals comes from a place of meditation and is attributed to the healing of the Feminine line through the eye of the heart and the cognitive restructuring of Grace.
Where the threads converge
My path has been grounded in healing — as a Registered Nurse in Aged Care, trained Naturopath, Homeopath, and Graphic Designer trained to find beauty in form and composition, and author of Lightning Seeds: Journey through the Rainbow. These disciplines taught me that true healing honors both the seen and unseen, the embodied and the sacred. Crystal photography became where all these threads converged — capturing the landscapes in crystal that are never seen, revealing worlds and the essence within Crystals, finding beauty in something of the Earth.
I hope you enjoy Crystals rediscovered, vividly expressed in Crystal Apertures, refreshed and embodied in new form – Mystic Crystal Revelations, in an attempt to repair the distortions of the western viewpoint that disconnects spirit from matter. Somewhere within this synthesis lies my antidote to superficiality and parochialism.
